Local Arkansas drug bust nets three arrests
Arkansas Drug task force agents arrested three suspects and confiscated a large amount of marijuana and more than a half dozen firearms in a raid on a Searcy residence Thursday morning.
White County, Arkansas Sheriff's Department Narcotics officers, along with Central Arkansas Drug Task Force agents and Searcy police, executed a search warrant at 63 Hartwell Circle in Searcy at 8:48 am, a Sheriff's Department press release said.
Arrested at the scene were two males, ages 23 and 20, and a female, age 21, the release said. All three were charged with felony drug related offenses. The eldest male is being held on $30,000 bond, while the other suspects are being held on $15,000 bond.
A large amount of marijuana, guns and drug paraphernalia was seized from the residence, the report said.
The raid was the result of a lengthy joint investigation by the White County, Arkansas Sheriff's Narcotics Division and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force which began after neighbors complained of high traffic at unusual hours to and from the house, the report said.
